Who I am.

I have so many things to be thankful for in my life. My faith, my family, my job. But two people that I am specifically thankful for are the couple who put their trust in me many years ago as 17-year-old school girl to create a video that simply documented their wedding day. Since then I have seen so many funny, beautiful and intimate moments unfold through the lens of my camera and am continuously thankful to have somehow ended up in a career that I love so much.

I graduated from UUB with a degree in Graphic Design but during my time studying I quickly realised that even though there were elements of the course that I enjoyed, I absolutely did not want to pursue it as a career. A placement year spent in a video company helped me to understand more of the wedding video world and led to the deep love I have for the editing process. When I finished my placement I began developing my work and brand which has eventually led to what you see today as ‘Day and Age Films’.

Over the seven years since I first hit record on that Nikon camera, my life has changed significantly and my work has developed along with it. I hope that what you see here demonstrates the years of learning and growing that have brought me to where I am today.
